Format Motion From

This command can be added by right-clicking on the :ref:`Linear Motion<Event Linear/Rapid Motion / ActionLinearMotion>`. heading inside "Commands" tab.

This command is activated with :ref:`FROM<Format Motion From>`. statement in the APT/CL file.

It is a special command developed only for some CAD/CAM systems (eg Catia).

After reading the :ref:`FROM<Format Motion From>`. statement in the APT/CL file, it is used to create the appropriate lines for this statement in the NC program.

The :ref:`FROM<Format Motion From>`. statement in the APT/CL file executes the :ref:`Event From<Event From>`.. This event includes “ActionLinearMotion” as standard. “ActionLinearMotion” executes one of the linear motion commands according to the settings and definitions made in the post processor.
